GUITAR TAB for "Is There Anybody Out There?" (Pink Floyd - The Wall)
Tabbed by Mario Carlo Pittalis ([email protected])
I guess this is the real way the song is performed in the original studio
album (Pink Floyd - The Wall). I can't be sure about some positions in the
fingerboard of course, but the notes' sequence is the real one.
You have to use headphones and listen very carefully to the song. Read the notes
at the foot of the page (*#).
For each chord written below, play the following sequence:

********************************************************************************
(*1): it's sixteen times altogether! The early ones fading in (hard to ear, even
with headphones, because covered by the other instruments)
(*2): this is the real notes' sequence! Light touch on (2) with your right inch
finger but play it!
(*3): this is the real notes' sequence! Light touch on (0) with your right inch
finger but play it!
(*4): this is the real notes' sequence! Hit 1 and 0 without sliding! Sliding
starts from 2>4. Slide fast 2>4 and 4>2.
(5***): this is cool... you'll like it! After 8 of the previous sequence, put
your right forefinger on 12 (as if you wanted to play a Van Halen's tapping),
press hard but don't make it sound and keep it firm. Then make the standard Am
chord (barr?) with your left hand. Finally, still keeping your right forefinger
firm on 12, make the strings sound (E>A>D>G>B>E) with your right inch finger,
moving it from up to down behind the right forefinger (as if you were using your
right forefinger and inch finger like a... that tool we used in school to draw
circles (I don't know its name in english)... anyway, the forefinger is the
needle on 12, the inch finger draw the circles on the strings. It's not hard...
You can make it! ;)
