Whiskey In The Jar
Metallica ? Garage INC.

Tune all guitars 1 step down.

I love this song. Dunno why. Anyways, this tab is the way my aunt and I figured it out;
it sounds a lot better than most of the tab I?ve seen. There are slight variations for
each time the main riffs are played, but it?s usually an extra hammer-on, bend, or a slide.
I?m sure you can improvise them. There are also a few fills in the background, improvise.
Use heavy distortion and a pitch shifter.

Intro/Verse: G5 F#5 Em G5 F#5 Em C5

Main Riff 1:
d|---------------------------|
A|--\\5h7h8-5h7\\3-5/8-8~~~~~|

Main Riff 2:

Main Riff 3: (replace this with riff1 for intro; use as third riff in the first verse)

Chorus: D5 C#5 C5 (pick each note in the C5)

Bridge: (clean tone) G C Em

Solo: I?m still working on the solo. (The next version will be better)

A suggestion: During the chorus), Lars does what I call the
?hi-hat stomp? (just after the ?musharainabemadumb-da??). I like to pick the D5 harder
and then mute the strings (staccato) to match the drums. In other words:

    D5              >  >  >  > C#5  C5
d|--------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------|
F|--7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7x-7x-7x-7x-6------5|
C|--7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7x-7x-7x-7x-6----5--| etc.
G|--5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5x-5x-5x-5x-4--3----|
D|--------------------------------------|
Musharainabemadumb-da!             Whack for?

Enjoy!
